Aladdin.life, a Palo Alto based start-up is reimagining shopping and commerce with Agentic AI for consumers and retailers. Its goal is to make shopping and commerce experiences as magical as wishes granted by a Genie: hyper-personalised, effortless, faster and cheaper.

Aladdin.life is solving this issue by empowering consumers and retailers with personalised and conversational AI agents. For consumers their personalised AI agents will automate and hyper-personalise search and research including comparisons for products and services, across online and physical retail stores. These agents will also be capable of negotiating deals on behalf of the consumers in multiple retail and commerce categories.
The AI agents will return ad free and hyper-personalised results on both synchronous and asynchronous basis. Instead of dozens of search results the AI agents will narrow down and recommend the best options based on user preferences, along with the citations.
AI agents for retailers & brands: Online and Physical retail stores can also leverage AI agents that will be connected to their internal systems- like inventory, decision engine, sales and margin targets, CRM and knowledge base-to respond to personalised customer searches around the clock. This opens up consumer search and discovery across the inventory universe of products, services and deals in online and physical retail stores.
Multiple retail and commerce sectors: “Aladdin is launching its service first in the travel sector where consumers will be able to use their personalised AI agents to effortlessly make flight and hotel bookings, says Ganpatsingh Rajput (GSR), Co-founder and CTO. GSR had earlier co-founded travelguru.com, one of India’s first travel sites in 2005, that was later acquired by Sabre. Aladdin will then extend its services to other retail and commerce sectors. Aladdin believes in a “one agent” future for consumers built on trust, as it will be unproductive and cumbersome for consumers to train multiple AI agents in a holistic way.
Use of Agentic AI
Aladdin sees shopping and commerce as a conversation and interaction between a consumer’s AI agent and AI agents of the relevant retailers.
Co-founder and Chief AI & Product Officer Bhaskar Deka says “Aladdin is leveraging Agentic AI workflow, so that AI agents can set goals, plan and take actions as a partner in a collaborative way rather than becoming a mere tool.” Bhaskar who has successfully scaled and exited multiple digital ventures in Silicon Valley in Chief Product & AI Officer roles, adds “Agentic AI mimics the human cognitive process-draft, reflect, revise.” Unlike traditional AI which operates on a set of algorithms and defined rules, Agentic AI is more autonomous and adaptive with the ability to anticipate consumer’s needs, recommend actions and make decisions.
Aladdin has defined a multi-agent architecture and focuses on both Generative AI as well as classical Predictive AI.
Giving back our time
Prof Scott Galloway in his Predictions for 2024 states that the next trillion dollar ventures “will have to be time machines ….to give us back our time.” With Aladdin in our lives, we can expect to get our time, energy and savings back, every time we shop.
